At approximately 11:25 a.m., Hendricks County Communications Center received a call of a two-year-old child who had fallen into a pool. Plainfield Police and Rescue were initially dispatched.
When Hendricks County Deputies arrived on the scene, they were notified that CPR had been performed on the child, and it had been in progress for quite some time. The child was transported to an Avon Hospital.
When a Hendricks County detective arrived at the hospital, it was determined that the child had in fact regained a heartbeat after medical intervention. His prognosis at this time is unknown. The child was with a family member at the time of the incident and the investigation is ongoing.
