Indiana State University, in association with GEODIS Logistics and some of Indiana’s other powerhouse manufacturing and supply chain corporations such as Conexus, Toyota and Bastian Solutions, is hosting a thought leadership summit on Friday, Feb. 17, at the Made @ Plainfield facility.
With more than 100 professionals and almost 30 Indiana State students attending, the event will explore everything from new technology, process improvements, warehouse management systems, and transportation hubs in an effort to further expand and enhance Indiana’s logistics and supply chain industries. Indiana State University supply chain students will not only participate in the session, but three Indiana State supply chain students will present on their successful projects to improve warehouse and logistics processes.

Additional details: “Logistics 4.0: Connecting the Global Ecosystem” brings educators, industry leaders from Conexus, Toyota, Bastian Solutions and Indiana State supply chain students together to network, exchange information about how enterprise solutions and process improvement techniques are shaping Indiana’s logistics industry.
There will be two sessions on the day’s agenda. The first will focus on positioning the workforce for workplace changes brought by the overhaul of automation. The second will discuss how enterprise solutions and process improvement techniques are shaping the logistics world. Frederick Cartwright, President and CEO @ Conexus Indiana, will deliver the luncheon keynote speech that will address opportunities and challenges in the advanced manufacturing and logistics sector.
