The 2023 Johnson County Fair invites the public to attend exhilarating entertainment, unforgettable moments and non-stop excitement at the Fairgrounds from Sunday, July 16 through Saturday, July 22.
The fair week’s evening grandstand events kick off on Sunday with the Third Annual Truck Night hosted by Wolfe Bros. Racing. Micro Wrestling Monday Night is from 7-9 p.m. July 17. Yard Kart Nationals presents the Sprint Kart Nationals Showdown on Tuesday, July 18 at 7 p.m. for short track sprint kart racing you won’t want to miss. The Truck and Tractor Pull begins at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19.
The Monsters are coming Thursday, July 20 at 7 p.m. Full Throttle Monster Trucks presents Monster Trucks. Come check out American Scout, Monkey Business, Funky Monkey and the Original Bigfoot. Rev your engines and buckle up for two adrenaline-fueled nights of sheer mayhem at Demolition Derby presented by Toast Promotions on Friday, July 21 and Saturday, July 22 at 7 p.m. both nights.
Get ready for a night under the stars as the fair presents Moonlight Madness on the Midway with Poor Jack Amusements. Immerse yourself in the magic from 6-11 p.m. Monday, July 17 through Thursday, July 20 for fair nights you won’t want to miss. Enjoy unlimited rides with special ride bracelets priced at $30.
Step right up for Kiddies Day on the Midway Tuesday, July 18 and Saturday, July 22. Prepare for an afternoon of non-stop fun from 1-5 p.m. both days. Enjoy unlimited rides with special ride bracelets at just $18. Get ready to unleash your inner thrill-seeker at Weekend Madness on the Midway. Mark your calendars for Friday, July 21 and Saturday, July 22 from 6-11 p.m. Round up your friends and family and grab unlimited ride bracelets for $35.
The free Read, Taste and Touch program (RT2 Celebration) presented by Purdue Extension Johnson County returns to the fairgrounds from Monday, July 17 through Friday, July 21 from 10 to 11 a.m. The program, located at Heritage Hall next to the Extension Office, offers book readings, food samples and barn tours for RT2 participants (children ages 4-7 with a parent or guardian). Attendees are welcome to attend one day or all five days.
Get ready to take a break from the Ferris wheel and corn dogs because this year Johnson County Fairgrounds is bringing the excitement to a whole new level with a new event – an axe throwing competition. Sharpen your aim, summon your inner Viking and conquer the challenge. Gather your friends, challenge your rivals and show off your bullseye skills at the fair on Sunday, July 16 at 1 p.m. at the northeast corner of Herring Hall.
