The Danville Water Company was presented with a Wendell Ladue Utility Safety Award Plaque at the Danville Town Council meeting on July 15. The award is presented annually by the American Water Works Association to four excellent water utility safety programs.
The four awards are based on number of employees. Danville won in the first class, utilities with fewer than ten employees. Lou Townsend, chairman of the Indiana Water Works Association presented the award plaque to Jim Russell, superintendent of the Danville Water Department.
