With the recent move to Stage 5 of Indiana Gov. Holcomb’s coronavirus reopening plan, Danville Community School Corporation leaders have added tickets to the Danville High School Homecoming football game on Friday (Oct. 2).
“The move to Stage 5 could not have come at a better time! Homecoming is an important tradition in Danville, and the community loves to participate and cheer on our Warriors,” said Ashton Brellenthin, communications coordinator for Danville Community School Corporation.
Tickets for the game increased on the home side from 250 to 500. The guest side will remain at 250 fans.
“In order to still respect social distancing guidelines, our guest side had to remain at 250. It’s important to note that the specifics behind the Governor’s direction allow us to count the home and guest sides separately.”
Face masks are required during the game and social distancing must be observed.
The community will also get a chance to cheer on the Warriors during the Danville High School Homecoming parade that is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Participants are required to wear face masks during the event. Gloves will also be required to distribute candy.
“We have asked that parade guests also continue following guidelines set by the state and local health department by wearing face masks and staying socially distanced from those not living in their household,” said Brellenthin.
The Warriors take on Frankfort at 7 p.m. in the DCHS Warrior Stadium. All tickets to home football games are sold online prior to the game. Football parents/guardians and DCHS students are given the option to purchase tickets first. No tickets will be sold at the gate. Information regarding general admission tickets will be shared on Friday via the DCHS Athletics twitter account @dhcwarriors.
