An Option: Thai Basil

An Option: Thai Basil

By Faith Toole

Thai Basil in Brownsburg is the newest restaurant for the owners with locations in Plainfield, Carmel, Fishers, and Greenwood including Thaitanium on Mass Ave. Since the opening in former Long John Silver’s, the parking lot is always lined with cars. It was time to see why.

We started our experience with Crab Rangoon, pockets full crab and cream cheese with a plum dipping sauce. Our entree selections were Chicken Cashew Nut and Asparagus Delight with scallops, shrimp and calamari. Our heat was based on a chili pepper scale. Mine was one pepper, mild to medium. My husband’s five peppers, Thai hot. The crab Rangoon was the best we’ve had, freshly made in-house. Our entrees were full of flavor even the Thai hot was bearable for my one bite with a glass of water ready.
