267 accident claims life of Brownsburg man

The Hendricks County Sheriff’s Department, along with the coroner’s office, are continuing to investigate a Saturday morning accident that claimed the life of a Brownsburg man.
According to a HCSD report, authorities were dispatched atapproximately 7:45 a.m. at the 3400 block of North SR 267 near Brownsburg.
The crash involved a semi truck with trailer and a Chrysler minivan. David Shelton, 52, Brownsburg, died at the scene.
There were no additional passengers in the minivan at the time of the accident. The roadway was closed but reopened at approximately 12. p.m.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the minivan was left of the center line at the time of the collision for an unknown reason. In the report, HCSD stated that alcohol was not suspected to be a factor in the collision.
There were no other injuries reported.
