HCSD Identifies Double Fatality Victims

The Hendricks County Sheriff’s Department has identified the two victims of a double auto fatality that happened on Tuesday, April 21.

David Cuskaden, 57, and Lisa Grissom, 53, both of Avon, died when the car they were in left the roadway and came to a stop into White Lick Creek, off of CR 600 E near CR 350 350N near Brownsburg.

HCSD officials report that the time fame of the accident was narrowed significantly, as the deceased were reportedly seen by friends at approximately 3 p.m. on April 21. Authorities received the call of a car in the water at 3:40 p.m. HCSD confirmed the vehicle was called in by a nearby resident who was walking in the area and observed the vehicle.

Preliminarily, HCSD believes the vehicle was northbound on CR 600 E when, for an unknown reason, the driver lost control of the vehicle and traveled off the west side of the roadway and became inverted in White Lick Creek.  Crash Reconstructionists will continue to investigate along with the Hendricks County Coroner’s Office.
