APD, surrounding authorities, respond to ‘suspicious item’ at Avon High School

Avon Police Department responded to a call of a “suspicious item in one of the lockers” that APD’s Lt. Brent Keesling said, “Turned out to be nothing.” APD got the call at 1:46 pm. and authorities were on the scene for well over two hours. Other agencies assisting with K9 units were Hendricks County Sheriff’s Department, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and Plainfield Police Department, as well as Washington Township Fire Department.
