The City of Southport has agreed to sell the old concrete plant property, 2.395 acres at Van Dyke St., for redevelopment. The Redevelopment Commission is assuming responsibility to determine the best use for the benefit of the city. The property is currently zoned C7. The RDC will gather information from a meeting on Nov. 9, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the City Building, 6901 Derbyshire Rd. and make recommendations to the board of public works and the city council as to the best redevelopment use.
