Our first guest is State Representative Greg Steuerwald who will talk about the police enhancement bill he authored. Indiana HB 1006 is moving swiftly through the legislature and since we recorded this has passed out of committee and out of the house. It is up for debate in the senate. Steuerwald talks about how the bill is popular with several constituencies including the Fraternal Order of Police and the Indiana Black Caucus. He talks about the money involved to improve police training at Plainfield’s Indiana Law Enforcement Academy or ILEA.
