Plainfield’s Fulford leading Indy Partnership

Scott Fulford of Plainfield is the Indy Partnership’s new executive director, effective since March 1.

Indy Partnership is a regional economic development organization representing the nine-county Indianapolis metro area for central Indiana. The move follows the consolidation of operations between Develop Indy, the local economic development organization for Marion County and Indy Partnership.

Fulford will lead the effort to bring new businesses, jobs and investment to the Indianapolis region.  In addition, he will remain an active member of Indy Partnership’s business development team, traveling and meeting with clients and site consultants across the country.

Prior to joining Indy Partnership in 2006, Fulford spent over 30 years working for Cinergy (now Duke Energy) where he served as a Marketing Manager in their economic development department.  He also served for two years as a loaned executive with the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC)
where he served as Director of the Central Indiana region, working primarily with existing companies to
expand and grow their Indiana operations.

“Scott is a great choice for this position,” said Marie-Christine Pence, Director of Economic Development for Duke Energy Indiana.  “Having worked with him for many years, I know that he brings great expertise to this role, and I cannot think of a person better-suited for this opportunity.”

Fulford received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from Indiana University.  He has been recognized for service in economic development through receipt of the Indiana Economic Development Association “Excellence in Leadership” award and also the Utility Economic Development Association “Presidential Achievement” award.  He is a member of the Indiana Economic Development Association and International Economic Development Council.
