The Plainfield Town Council met July 24 for a regular council meeting. The meeting was live streamed for members of the public who could not attend. The council meets at 6 p.m. for a work session and 7 p.m. for a council meeting on the second and fourth Mondays each month, at 591 Moon Road. WHAT HAPPENED: The council approved Ordinance No. 28-2023 on first reading. This ordinance would annex and make certain territory a part of the town of Plainfield. This territory in council district number 3 is at 6371 S. County Road 600 E, 6391 S. County Road 600 E, and 6025 Bree Lane.
WHAT IT MEANS: This territory consists of three single-family houses and consists of approximately 8.147 acres.
WHAT HAPPENED: The council approved Ordinance No. 29-2023 on first reading. This ordinance would annex and make certain territory a part of the town of Plainfield. This territory in council district number 1 is located at 2862 S. State Road 267.
WHAT IT MEANS: This territory consists of one single-family home as part of the Jessup Meadow Subdivision.
