PGTPL to offer flu shots for the public

The Plainfield-Guilford Township Public Library will host two vaccine clinics at the library in late September and early October of this year.

PGTPL is proud to offer two vaccine clinics hosted in partnership with the Plainfield Walmart Supercenter Pharmacy. The first session will be on Wednesday, Sept.  27, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the second will be on Thursday, Oct. 5 from 3 to 6 p.m.

Everyone over 12 years of age is welcome to take advantage of this program. Participants under 18 years of age will need a parent or legal guardian. Regular flu quad vaccines and high dose (for 65+) flu vaccines will be available. Tdap, Shingrix and Prevnar 20 as well as the new Covid-19 booster vaccine and RSV vaccine will be available based on availability.

Participants will need to bring their ID and insurance cards (medical/pharmacy insurance cards). Billing for the vaccine is sent through insurance, and most insurance companies will cover the cost of the vaccine at no charge. Unfortunately, neither cash nor credit will be accepted.

For more information about the flu clinic, contact the library at 317-839-6602 or visit plainfieldlibrary.net. The library is located at 1120 Stafford Road in Plainfield.
