Occupant identified in vehicle found dead in retention pond

A Toyota Tundra was located in a pond in Plainfield yesterday morning (12/8) with one person found deceased in the vehicle. The deceased adult male has been identified as Bryan Holder (45) of Plainfield IN. At this time the incident is still under investigation but appears to have been a tragic accident.

The Plainfield Fire Territory responded to a possible vehicle in a retention pond at 9:30 a.m. (12/8) and recovered a truck and a deceased male inside.

A passerby called authorities after seeing what appeared to be fresh tire tracks leading into the pond at Newberry Rd. and Fieldstone Ln. The name of the victim has not been released. Plainfield Police Department is investigating.

TheĀ Hendricks County Coroner and Plainfield Police Department are conducting investigation. An autopsy has been scheduled for later today. The Hendricks County Coroner will determine exact manner and cause of death.
