On Tuesday, the Beech Grove Fire Department received a much-needed donation of COVID-related cleaning and safety equipment from local retailer Northern Tool + Equipment. The fire chief, firefighters and EMTs from the agency – along with engine and ambulance – visited Northern Tool, located at 5236 Victory Drive, Indianapolis, to receive the equipment and celebrate the donation of personal protective equipment such as high-visibility rain pants/jackets and safety glasses, as well as a NorthStar pressure washer and cleaning supplies to keep the team safe in the field.
“We are proud to partner and support these local heroes and equip them with important safety and cleaning gear to help keep them safe in the field,” said Frank Talarico, store manager of Northern Tool + Equipment. “These firefighters and EMTs do so much for our community and we wanted to show our appreciation and make sure they can do their job safely.”
As part of Northern Tool’s efforts, the company is also offering safety masks in its local stores from Founder Sports Group, and proceeds from the sales of these masks will be donated to the All Clear Foundation, which supports first responder organizations.
