Hendricks County Economic Development Partnership names new executive director from Michigan

The Hendricks County Economic Development Partnership (HCEPD) board announced Monday that Brian Bilger has joined the partnership as executive director.
Bilger comes to Hendricks County from Detroit, Michigan where he worked as the senior business development representative for the Detroit Regional Chamber and most recently served as the business development manager at the Wayne County Economic Development Corporate in Michigan.
In his career spanning over 18 years, board members say Bilger has demonstrated excellence in managing large scale projects and is a good fit for the county.
“After a thorough and deliberate selection process, the board of directors is delighted that Brian will lead the Hendricks County Economic Development Partnership,” said Greg Ternet, board chair.
“Brian’s experience and visionary leadership will help us to achieve our goals and objectives for economic development.”
Bilger also served as the project manager for the Regional Growth Partnership, JobsOhio, based in Toledo, Ohio, as well as the economic development manager of Lucas County, also in Toledo.
“Hendricks County is a very appealing place,” said Bilger.
“I am especially fond of the ongoing teamwork and collaboration of private business’ and the local political jurisdiction. I look forward to becoming a part of the community and helping the county promote its economic development goals.”
Bilger graduated from University of Toledo with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is also a graduate of Heidelberg College, holding a master’s degree in business administration.
The Hendricks County Economic Development Partnership (HCEPD) is a public-private agency and is the primary agency responsible for attracting new jobs and new investment in Hendricks County, Indiana.
New business investment in Hendricks County since 2001 totaled $1.7 billion with the creation of more than 16,846 new jobs.
The executive director position opened up this summer after former executive director Jeff Pipkin left the position in June to take a job with Hoosier Energy.
