Hendricks County Career Fair offers job options for grown-ups.

Whether you are a high school graduate searching for that first job or seasoned worker who wants a change, the Hendricks County Community Career Fair will be presenting job ideas in aviation, healthcare, logistics, manufacturing or skilled trades.

“It’s exciting, we will have both employers and training providers in one place,” Hendricks College Network Executive Director Brandy Wethington Perrill said.

The fair is a partnership between Plainfield High School and Hendricks College Network, a non-profit organization serving as a resource for community members and businesses to gain access to local job and career opportunities.

Organizers say the event continues to evolve to meet the current needs of the community.

“It’s where we see a shortage of people or skills,” Wethington Perrill said. “We want to ensure we are providing the opportunity to train people in the area for the jobs that are high in demand, like healthcare.”

The fair is for all skill levels. Guests can bring a resume, but it is not required.

“We are a career fair for those who need to further develop their skills set,” Wethington Perrill added.

The fair will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. April 25 at Plainfield High School Fieldhouse, 1 Red Pride Dr. Parking and admission are free.  Guests should enter door 7.

The event will also include a workshop at 6:15 or 7:15 p.m. with a focus on finding a new career path.
