Northwest Community Park, located behind Bethesda Baptist Church in Brownsburg, will soon be adding a playground.
The outdoor family space will include swings, slides and several play areas for the community to use. Organizers are looking for volunteers to help with a community build on June 4-8. They’ll need more than 2,000 helpers over five days.

Hendricks Regional Health is a sponsor of the park. Northwest Community Park already has an 18-hole disc golf course, a walking trail and a fishing pond.
A fundraiser for the playground will be held at Rush Off Main, 5767 Green St., on April 8 with proceeds going to the build.
Tequila Sunrise, 1551 N. Green St., recently raised more than $1,300 for the project.
