AN OPTION
I’m shopping local for holiday gifts, checking off my list while refueling along the way. One stop involved both: Gee’s Nice Cream, Joy’s Cakery and Timber City Coffee Roasters in Plainfield.
I refueled with nitro raspberry ice cream, vanilla cupcake and a cup of freshly roasted coffee. It was so “cool” to watch them flash freeze my ice cream, and it paired perfectly with the creamy vanilla cupcake. The Timber City Coffee Roasters blend was so smooth, I didn’t need creamer.
I also checked these items off my list: Gee’s Nice Cream gift card, a dozen Joy’s Cakery cupcakes for a hostess gift and a coffee stocking stuffer of the Brazil Florada coffee from Timber City Coffee Roasters,.
I also enjoyed a piece of chocolate cake indulging in a Hallmark Christmas movie.

WHERE I DINE
Melissa Dalton, Brownsburg
Where do you like to dine?
I love the new restaurant in Brownsburg called Rush Off Main.
What do you like there?
The homemade hummus is amazing. It’s Chicago style food, and I’m not usually a fan. This place has changed my mind about it.
What do you like about this place?
I love the outdoor seating and scenery. It’s relaxing outside and upbeat inside.
