Reports that long-time, family-owned Bill Estes Automotive Group is being purchased by Asbury Automotive, Atlanta, GA, have been confirmed.
The dealerships are Bill Estes Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram (Brownsburg); Bill Estes Ford (Brownsburg); Bill Estes Chevrolet (Indianapolis); and Bill Estes Chevrolet, Buick and GMC (Lebanon).
An Asbury spokesperson released this statement to the Business Leader today: “Asbury Automotive Group has plans to acquire four dealerships in Indiana: Bill Estes Ford, Bill Estes Chevrolet, Bill Estes Chevy Buick GMC and Bill Estes Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Ram. The Bill Estes Auto Group has a history of success, great culture and most importantly, amazing people. The Asbury leadership team believes that our company will be a good steward of this family business that has a long legacy of quality service in the Indianapolis market. The sale is expected to be finalized before the end of first quarter 2019, and is subject to customary closing conditions.”
