The town of Avon will be getting an At Home store as early as this summer at the former Gander Mountain location on U.S. 36.
The American retail chain is a Texas-based home decor superstore with other local locations in Greenwood and off Lafayette Road in Indianapolis.
“We’re really excited to have At Home here. Having this national company come to Avon helps us provide more shopping options for our residents and visitors,” Jodi Dickey with Town of Avon Planning and Building said. “We’re also glad the company chose to reuse and expand an empty storefront instead of building on vacant property.”
Since the site was already approved for retail use, town planners say the process went quickly.
The store is expected to open in late July and is currently hiring for several positions.
