The Avon-Washington Township Public Library Guild (A-WTPL) will host a ‘Millennial Celebration of the Arts’ Saturday, April 22, 7 – 9 p.m. at the library, 498 N Avon Ave. It will be the 11th rendition of ArtScape, a yearly fundraiser put on by the guild to raise money for future library projects and literacy readiness programs.

Sylvia Woods, a long-time Guild member, said the event celebrates a locally inspired theme every year.

“We wanted to feature local artists that recently graduated from Avon High School,” Woods said. “This year marks the 100th anniversary of the first graduating class. That’s why we decided to use a millennial theme.”

Guests can view and bid on works from local artists, Allie Cunningham, Rebecca Entrican, Cole Potter, and Abby Westman. In addition, the Avon High School String Quartet, led by Dean Westman, will perform during the event.

Tickets may be purchased at the door for $20, or in advance at library’s circulation desk for $15. For more information, contact Cathy Myers at (317) 272-4818.
