Each dancer is paired with an instructor and will be challenged to learn a routine in the coming months to perform at the event.
This year’s dancers are Melanie Nichols, Plainfield Recreation and Aquatic Center; Arielle Brown, IU Health West; Britter Cook, Ray’s Trash Service; Madison Henderson, Village of Avon; Suzanne Shafer, Shafer Collision and Republic Air; Chris Tincher, Chick-Fil-A Avon; John Unison, Hendricks Regional Health Physician; Steve Hite, Hendricks Power; and Ryan Morrison, Pastor of The Well Community Church.
Competitors are selected based on their involvement, excitement and leadership within Hendricks County.
“We have seen some pretty exciting and fun performances in each of the last five years and we look forward to seeing what these competitors will do,” said Deanna Hindsley, event coordinator.
The 6th annual event has a “Roaring 20s” theme and will be held at the Hendricks County Fairgrounds Expo Hall in Danville.
Organizers expect around 500 guests. The event raises money for the Hendricks County Historical Museum.
The night includes food, a silent auction, and lots of dancing.
Ticket sales open Feb. 1. For more information about the event and sponsorship, go to https://www.hendrickscountymuseum
