On May 7, 10 Roncalli High School senior athletes signed letters of intent to compete collegiately.
Faith Fries signed to play lacrosse at Hanover College (Madison, IN) under Brandon Allwood. Fries was a first-year varsity starter and her team made it to the section seven finals. She plans to study biochemistry and is the daughter of Teresa and Ted Fries.
Nick Perkins, who was the Marion County Cross Country Champion, two times Sectional Champion, two times Regional Champion, Semi-State Runner Up, 10th place in State, the Track Mental Attitude Award winner and the school record holder in the 5K and 3200, signed to run track and cross country at IUPUI (Indianapolis) under coach Chuck Koeppen. During his career at Roncalli, his track team was awarded Conference Champions three times. Perkins plans to study business. His parents are Betsy and Jim Perkins.
Connor DeMoss signed with Marian University (Indianapolis) to compete in track and field under coach Mike Holman. DeMoss was named 2018 Academic All-state and two-time Rebel Elite. During his career at Roncalli, his team was awarded a three-time Circle City Conference Champions and 2018 Archdiocesan Champions. DeMoss plans to study engineering and math. He is the son of Kim and Scott DeMoss.
Seth Roseberry, who was Trigonometry, Videography and Algebra 2 Student of the Year and Spirit award winner, signed to compete in track and field at Muskingan University (Concord, Ohio) under coach Ashley Shaffer. During his career at Roncalli, his team was awarded Circle City Conference Champions three times and two-time Archdiocesan Champions. Roseberry plans to study digital media. His parents are Carrie Wheeler and Larry Roseberry.
Brandon White signed with Wabash College (Crawfordsville, IN) to compete in track and field under coach Clyde Morgan. White was Academic All-state, State Qualifier, Rebel Elite and captain. During his career at Roncalli, his team was awarded three-time Conference Champions and Archdiocesan Champions. White plans to study economics. His parents are Angie and Brian White.
Alex Volk signed to play football and run track at Wabash College (Crawfordsville, IN) under coaches Don Morel and Emile Conde. Volk was a football team captain and in track a 4 x 4 Indoor State Qualifier. During his career at Roncalli, his football team was awarded Circle City Conference champions two times, and his track team was Indoor State Qualifier 4 x 4. Volk plans to study pre-professional health. His parents are Stephanie and Brian Volk.
Sam Erickson, who was a varsity letter recipient his senior year, signed to play football at Franklin College (Franklin) under coach Mike Leonard. Erickson was also recognized as the Music Appreciation Student of the Year. During his career at Roncalli, his football team was awarded 2017 Conference Champions and 2015 Regional Champions. Erickson plans to study biology. His parents are Jay Erickson and the late Carla Erickson.
Dylan Lewis signed to play football at Wabash College (Crawfordsville, IN) under Don Morel. Lewis was awarded Academic All-state, and his football team was the 2016 State Champions. He plans to study economics and is the son of Shaune Harlow and Nathan Lewis.
Andrew Lockard, who was a two-time Offensive MVP, signed to play football at Ball State University (Muncie, IN) under coaches Mike Neu and Joey Lynch. During his career at Roncalli, his football team won State Champions and two-time Conference Champions. Lockard plans to study nursing. His parents are Anne and Vincent Lockard.
Garett Huelskamp signed to play football at Wabash College (Crawfordsville, IN) under Don Morel. Huelskamp was awarded Academic All-state, and his football team was awarded the 2016 State Champions and two-time Conference Champions. He plans to study physics and is the son of Jennifer Huelskamp.
