You might be aware that people are quicker to complain about bad experiences with businesses than good ones. When a customer is upset, they are motivated. When they want their story to be heard, they find review sites online to post public complaints that the rest of your customers and would-be customers will be reading for years to come. Posting reviews takes time and effort. If only your satisfied customers could be so driven to share their good experiences.
Now there are systems available to motivate satisfied customers to post positive reviews publicly without having to resorting to bribery or hypnosis. It’s so simple. You import your customer email list; the system sends a message asking if they would recommend your business to others. If they click “No”, it asks them what you can do to improve. If they click “Yes”, the customer is presented with “star” rating option and space to post their accolades. The user is then taken directly to the places where positive review matter the most. The business can select which of the many review sites to lead them to, but high on the list of valuable places for reviews to be seen are Google+, facebook, and Yelp.
In the world of Search Engine Optimization and reputation management, this is major breakthrough. Here’s why:
- Businesses that have higher review ratings get higher rankings in Google’s search results pages.
- People are more likely to trust businesses with higher ratings.
- Negative ratings are very hard to veil.
- Since people are more inclined to pay attention to negative news means the negative ones need to be outnumbered by positive reviews.
I am in the process of using the system for one of my clients. If you would like to know more about it, send me a message at OfficeAdmin@AnalyticsAudit.com.
